          Itinerary

About 80 miles (130 km) south of Santiago lies Colchagua Valley, one of Chile’s largest and best-known wine regions, home to high-profile wineries such as Montes and Viu Manent. Visit these two wineries — or similar alternatives — on this full-day wine tour with a local guide. Learn about the history of winemaking in Colchagua Valley as you enjoy tastings of popular varietals such as malbec, syrah and carmenere. You have the choice to include lunch with the tour, which you’ll enjoy in the town of Santa Cruz. Finally, finish your day trip at the Colchagua Museum (Museo de Colchagua) in Santa Cruz. Take a break from all the wine with an interesting look at Chile’s history. As you tour the in-depth museum, check out its displays about Chile’s pre-Columbian cultures and the Spanish conquest. After the tour, you’ll then be driven back to your Santiago hotel.

          Optional Lunch at Santa Cruz

          * 3-course lunch at a Santa Cruz Restaurant
          * The kitchen of this restaurant is based on Chilean products and flavors that give life to tasty preparations that make us remember those flavors and aromas of Creole cuisine.
