Learn about the rich history of Lisbon on a guided half-day tour by bus. You will visit Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Jerónimos Monastery, the Ajuda Palace, and cultural squares in the city.

You'll receive an enlightening survey of gorgeous Lisbon. Making your way to the Belém quarter, you'll discover this jewel in Lisbon's crown. Located where the Tagus River meets the Atlantic, Belém is the launching point for Portugal's 15th- and 16th-century maritime explorations.

Situated amongst modern exhibits and busy cafes are historical sites and monuments that defined an empire. Time to visit Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and icon of the Age of Discovery, as well as the Monument to the Discoveries.

Next, you'll be awed by the masterful Manueline architecture of Jerónimos Monastery, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the extravagant Ajuda National Palace, one of the earliest neoclassical buildings in Lisbon. (replaced by Royal Treasure Museum when closed).
Explore the old quarters of Alfama and Baixa-Chiado through our Digital Walking Tour.

Along the river we arrive at Alfama, an old and traditional district, where you will have the opportunity to walk in its narrow streets, and visit an handicraft shop if you want to. Then you will pass by the downtown (Baixa) to admire the most important squares of Lisbon such as the monumental Trade Square (Praça do Comércio); Rossio Square, the heart of Lisbon and the symbolic Restauradores Square. Then you can pass by the Liberdade Avenue, the “boulevard” of Lisbon, to finish at Marquês de Pombal Square, admiring the statue of the 18th-century portuguese statesman responsible for Lisbon reconstruction after one of the most deadliest earthquakes in History, the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake.
