Detailed Description
During the journey to our trek we encounter wonderful lookout points and surely will give you opportunities to take pictures. On a concrete path that leads to the scattered houses of the few inhabitants of this area, we climb uphill. There are interspersed patches of forest and rice fields - but we always have a really wild mountain stream to our right. After some time, this concrete path will be replaced by a rather dilapidated staircase and we will experience the first small difficulties of this tour. We reach a barrage of the rural cooperative. The rice field irrigation is regulated from here. Behind the dam the water is very calm and clean: we can swim in the river and enjoy ourselves.
After we've moved forward on more or less fixed routes, it is now getting somehow adventurous. To get to three very unknown waterfalls, we have to cross the jungle and swampy terrain. It is worth it. To avoid giving too much away and make our guests indulge a little joy of discovery, we present here only a photo of one of the three waterfalls. The path to the three waterfalls is only a detour from the main route. Therefore, we come back to the dam and do one more trip to another small waterfall with a nice pool. As it is really shadily over there, it is not suitable for swimming. The so-called garden of the mountain farmers - a kind of mixed forest with clove trees, coffee and cocoa shrubs and other crops we slowly start the descent. We soon meet rice fields and signs of human life up here. Having already eaten at a beautiful place, we visit locals at their house, have a cup of coffee and see how people really live here.
Passing rice fields and a few houses, our path runs down the valley. We can enjoy nice views of the northern coast all the time. Maybe we will meet little temples for the goddess Sri in the ricefields. We enter the mountain forest again and offer those who dare to, another detour to a nameless, but very beautiful waterfall. Access is extreme, slippery and dangerous. We offer assistance to get to the place at the bottom of the waterfall.
After this extraordinary experience we walk on track through the forest back to our Vespas. You might find yourself doing some nice pictures
