Detailed Description
Wat Chalermprakiat in Lampang is the place to go if you're seeking an unseen temple in Thailand.
This is a must-see hidden Thai temple in the Jae Hom area of Lampang province. Wat Chalermprakiat, around 165 kilometers or 2:30 hours from Chiang Mai, puts us closer to the heavens – or the sky. To get to the pagodas at the top, you'll trek for 20-30 minutes. It's almost uphill, and much of it is on steel staircases, but there are plenty of spots to stop and snap photos along the route. This is a highlight at the summit, with incredible views. A multitude of white stupa and temple constructions dot the mountain peaks and cliffs, the materials for which were all brought up the hill by hand. The temple may appear old, but it was erected in 2004 to honor the 200th anniversary of Thailand's King Rama IV's rule.
Parallel to the historic market district lies the Wang River. In the Chinese market on the waterfront. Because there are antique structures nearly 100 years old, the old market is called the economic path. Lampang's landmark bridge has historical and antique importance, and the street art movement has brought life and beauty to the river walk, and the community can be seen here. Those who prefer shooting stunning photographs or selfies with paintings on the wall that appear as if they belong in Penang, Malaysia, would love this place!
