What to Bring All guests attending Uluru Segway Tours activities will need to bring: • Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Entry Ticket or cash to pay for National Park Entry Ticket • 1L of water per person • Closed in Shoes • Cap, sunglasses and shirt with sleeves are advised. • Warm clothes (in winter months) – jacket, gloves and beanie Suitable Participant Info: Segway riding is an adventure activity. We recommend it as a suitable activity for visitors aged 12 -55 years old. Visitors above 55 are able to enjoy Segway riding, however should consider their individual suitability and fitness before booking. All participants must: • Be above 12 years old • Weight between 45-117kg • Have the balance, vision, coordination and fitness to ride a bicycle • Be fit and healthy and free from injury/history of serious injury, illness and balance or vision impairments • Free from drugs or alcohol. Detailed Description
Your tour begins with a transfer from your hotel within Voyages Ayers Rock Resort to Uluru. Upon arriving at Uluru your guide will teach you how to ride a Segway. Once everyone in the group is comfortable on their Segway we’ll begin our journey around one quarter of Uluru’s massive base. Our first stop is Mutitjulu waterhole. We’ll dismount and explore this area on foot, giving us a chance to marvel at Uluru’s incredible beauty. Once back on our Segway’s we’ll travel effortlessly around Uluru’s most scenic areas. You’ll have plenty of time for photo stops and to feel the windin your hair and on your face.
After completing the Segway component of the tour, your guide will help you explore the Mala Walk on foot. Here you’ll see ancient Aboriginal rock art and many of Uluru’s famous caves. Your guide will explain about the rich culture and geology that are quintessential to Uluru. As the sun lowers on the horizon enjoy an intimate sunset viewing experience right at the base of Uluru. Whilst watching the sunset we’ll set up a picnic of nibbles and sparkling wine. After sunset it’s time to return to the Ayers Rock Resort for the evening.
