Detailed Description
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Bariloche and travel toward the spectacular Cerro Tronador, the highest peak in Nahuel Huapi National Park. Journey across the Pampa de Huenuleo, passing the Melgarejo and Pilmayen streams before arriving at Lake Gutiérrez, where you'll have a brief stop to admire the scenery.
Continue along the shores of Lake Mascardi, making scenic stops at Playa Negra, Los Rápidos, and the viewpoint overlooking the iconic Heart-Shaped Island. The journey then follows the Upper Manso River to Pampa Linda, a beautiful mountain valley nestled at the foot of Cerro Tronador, where you'll have free time to enjoy lunch (at your own expense).
In the afternoon, continue to the impressive Ventisquero Negro Glacier, a unique hanging glacier distinguished by its dark-colored ice.
During the spring and summer season, when weather and road conditions allow, the excursion also includes easy walks to Garganta del Diablo, a spectacular glacial waterfall, and a viewpoint offering panoramic views of Cerro Tronador's three summits: the Argentine, International, and Chilean peaks.
During autumn and winter, heavy snowfall and road conditions prevent access to these areas. For safety reasons, the excursion concludes at Ventisquero Negro, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular winter scenery of Patagonia.
