Detailed Description
Depart Ushuaia and travel to the "End of the World Station" on the historic Southern Fuegian Railway, originally built as a freight line to serve the prison of Ushuaia.
Located 8 kilometers west of the city, the "End of the World Station" is the start point of a dramatic journey into the Pico Valley and the Toro gorge. Admire the elegant steam locomotives and benefit from their heated cars and large windows.
Travel the last 7 kilometers of the original 25-kilometer route, crossing the canyon and Rio Pipo on Burnt Bridge. Stop at the station of Cascada La Macarena to take in the panoramic views overlooking a settlement of the aboriginal Yámana people.
Continue through dramatic scenery, such as Lago Roca and the Lapataia River as you head towards Condor Hill. Visit the Green Lagoon and Black Lagoon before the train enters the Tierra del Fuego National Park and arrives at El Parque Station.
