      Detailed Description

      Located 105 kilometers from San Miguel of Tucumán, Tafí del Valley is the entry to the Calchaquíes Valleys and the most important tourist center of Tucumán's province. Nailed in the mountains 2000 meters on the level of the sea, it brings together beautiful landscapes and an ideal climate for the rest; with attractions of cultural character as constructions of adobe, pircas of stone and crafts in ceramics. Tafi del Valley offers the possibility of discovering the folklore, the typical dances and the flavors of the regional kitchen, recognized by his cheeses, sweets and dried fruits.

      The site is of San Jose Jesuit Lules Yungas Road, Los Menhires and Tafi del Valle. You'll visit the Jesuit Chapel and Convent of San José de Lules which houses the chapel and cloister. Route 307 marks the ascent to the Valleys. The road goes through the Los Sosa River Gorge, part of the nature reserve of the same name. Continuing, you'll see the monument "El Indio". Above, the entrance to the valley of Tafi is simply stunning. Surrounding La Angostura Dam we Mollar to visit The menhirs. Tafi del Valle is 2,000 m.s.n.m. Here is preserved Jesuit Compound Band, the oldest section was built by the Jesuits in the first half of the eighteenth century.

      You'll have free time for lunch before continuing to the Route 307 road to the viewpoint from which you'll have the best views of the valley before heading back to Tucuman Atahualpa visiting the Museum.
