Rio Express - Christ Redeemer, Sugarloaf and City Tour
Itinerary
The tour begins with the pick up at the hotels to go to the Corcovado hill and the statue of Christ the Redeemer, located at 710 meters high. Corcovado Hill is located within the Tijuca Forest National Park, the largest urban forest in the world, so we will be in contact with nature.
From the top of the hill, we can see the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in the north of the city and several beaches. After contemplating the wonderful panoramic view of the city, we will proceed to the legendary Maracanã Stadium, where we will stop so that you can visit its Museum (optional). Then we will visit the famous Avenida do Carnaval, Sambódromo, with access to the Samba Museum and a visit to Apoteose Square.
Then we will visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain, located at 395 meters above sea level, in the middle of the Guanabara Bay. The ascent is done by a glass cable car to the top, from where you can enjoy a wonderful 360° view of the Guanabara Bay, Copacabana, Urca, Botafogo, Flamengo and its surroundings.
Before finishing the tour, we will pass through the Historic Center of the city with stops at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Selaron Staircase, passing by the famous Lapa Arches.
After a day of fun and culture, we will return to the hotel.
