    Itinerary

    Today we will have a exciting experience, to one of the most impressive landscapes of the desert driest in the world. We will start leaving our hotel at 07:30 a.m. approximately (the schedule will be reconfirmed before, since it may vary according to the time of the year).

    We will head towards Yerbas Buenas, place where we can get beautiful views of the Domeyko Mountain Range, the Cordillera de la Sal and the Cordillera de los Andes.

    Yerbas Buenas has the largest amount of rock art in Atacama, so we can see petroglyphs of up to 6000 years old.

    In a special place that our guide will choose we will set up a breakfast to enjoy these beautiful landscapes.

    We will continue going deeper until we reach the Rainbow Valley, or also known as Valley of Mars, It is located about 90 km north of San Pedro, in the middle of the Cordillera de Domeyko.

    This valley is characterized by the variety of colors and shapes in its rock formations, gets its name from the layers of minerals that create a spectrum of colors ranging from hues of red and green to purples and blues. The unique rock formations, canyons, and ridges make this place looks like an alien world.

    We will also have the opportunity to take walks a through this amazing landscape. We will be able to explore different paths that they take us along the rock formations and offer impressive panoramic views of the valley.

    He is also known for home to pre-Columbian petroglyphs, which are rock carvings that date back centuries and tell stories of the indigenous cultures that inhabited the region.

    After enjoying this unique landscape, we will continue our way to Río Grande, a small typical town of artisans and farmers, where we will have time to explore the area and visit their markets.
