Detailed Description
Attention all pasta lovers: this is the perfect experience for you! Join us for an exclusive, small-group cooking class at a traditional Tuscan trattoria, where you’ll learn to make tagliatelle, ravioli, and tiramisù from scratch.
Start your day in the heart of Florence, meeting the chef and heading to the authentic Sant’Ambrogio food market (only included in the 9 AM shift). Explore the market’s stalls, selecting fresh, high-quality ingredients directly from local producers. From fruits and vegetables to meats, cheeses, and salami, the market offers the best products at affordable prices, making it a local favorite. Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, it’s time to head back to the kitchen and begin!
Put on your apron and roll up your sleeves as you dive into cooking. Begin by preparing ragù and a traditional tomato sauce—two timeless classics that perfectly complement fresh, homemade pasta. As the sauces simmer, you’ll knead your pasta dough, learning the secret to achieving the perfect consistency from the chef. Once your dough is resting, move on to the sweet treat: tiramisù.
The chef will guide you through every step to create the creamiest mascarpone filling for this iconic Italian dessert. While it chills in the fridge, enjoy a few bites of Tuscan appetizers and listen to the chef’s stories about Italy’s culinary history.
Once the tiramisù is resting, it’s time to return to the pasta! Learn how to make two beloved pasta shapes: tagliatelle, thick and wide like noodles, and ravioli, stuffed with creamy ricotta. Feel like an expert “sfoglina” for the day as the chef teaches you the art of pasta shaping. After seasoning your pasta, the moment you’ve been waiting for arrives—enjoy your delicious creation!
Sit down and savor the meal you’ve prepared, paired with a glass of the best house wine. Buon appetito—and don’t forget to make "scarpetta"!
