Embark on a full-day 4WD adventure from Alice Springs through the stunning West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping along the way to enjoy morning tea. Continue along the dry bed of the ancient Finke River into the heart of Palm Valley, a unique desert oasis known for its rare and ancient plant species such as the cycad and Livistona Mariae (cabbage palm). Explore dramatic rock formations, white sand floors, and tranquil rock pools, and take in the natural beauty of the Amphitheatre, a striking geological formation shaped over millions of years. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch surrounded by the rugged landscape of Finke Gorge National Park before returning to Alice Springs in the late afternoon.
