2-Day Tour: Mont Saint-Michel & Loire Valley Castles
Day 1: Mont Saint-Michel Discovery
Depart from Paris at 7:15 AM with a guide-interpreter on board. Enjoy a scenic drive through Normandy before arriving at Mont Saint-Michel around 11:30 AM. After a self-arranged lunch, take a shuttle across the causeway and explore this UNESCO-listed marvel.
Follow your guide through the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, admiring its Gothic architecture, refectory, and panoramic gardens. Stroll the medieval streets, browse charming shops, or savor a local crêpe. Lunch on your own.
At 4:30 PM, the bus departs for Angers (2.5-hour drive). Spend the night at Mercure Lac de Maine (or similar), with nearby dining options.
Day 2: Loire Valley Castles
After breakfast, enjoy a brief exterior stop at Château d’Angers before heading to Château de Langeais for a guided tour of its medieval and Renaissance structures, enhanced by wax figure displays.
Next, enjoy free time for lunch in Chenonceau, followed by a tour of the Château de Chenonceau, famously shaped by influential women like Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de’ Medici. Explore its grand halls and picturesque arches over the Cher River.
