Detailed Description
We take you to 8 islands for a good mix of activities with something for everyone.
The much talked about Island of the Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden) is the star attraction of this tour. This is the second largest island within the Langkawi archipelago and contained within is the largest fresh water lake in Malaysia. The Dayang Bunting Lake as it is called is separated from the sea by a very thin ridge of limestone. Legend claims that the lake bestows fertility upon barren women.
The outline of hills and rocky outcrops on one side of the lake resembles the shape of a pregnant maiden lying on her back. However the name of the island and the lake is attributed to the legend of a lovely fairy princess who married an earthly prince and got pregnant after drinking the water from the lake. This will reserve at least 1 hour for you to enjoy Dayang Bunting Island. We take care of th jet-skis while you explore the many attractions of the island including jungle trekking, kayaking, paddle boats or have a dip in the lake.
Much of the time will be spent sightseeing. There are lots of small islands that we will pass for you to take pictures of simply enjoy the beautiful scenery. One such place is an area known as “The Fjords” (Latitude: 06.11.13?N Longitude: 99.47.23?E Average Depth” 3-12mtr), a name given by the yachties to this general group of islands SE of Kuah and about 1 nautical mile from Dayang Bunting Island. The scenery offered is worth the trip there.
