Itinerary
You reach the summit of Mount Wellington and spread out before you is a majestic sight. On a clear day the views from Mt Wellington are stunning. In the winter perhaps you will be playing in the snow – but whatever the weather, take the opportunity to visit iconic kunanyi/Mt Wellington. On this fully escorted tour, enjoy the vast views of Hobart and surrounds, you will drive through the harsh alpine environment of the mountain and view the massive rock formation of the Organ Pipes.
After our visit to the summit of Mount Wellington, we tour the World Heritage Site Cascade Female Factory, for an insight into the lives of the women convicts once imprisoned there. There is approximately 45-minutes to explore the site on a self-guided tour and learn about convict life and a largely untold story of convict women and the role they have played in developing modern Australia. Wander through the site at your own pace and peruse the gallery, gift shop and interpretive displays.
