Detailed Description
Phnom Kulen is considered a holy mountain in Cambodia and is of special religious significance to both Hindus and Buddhists.
Get picked up from your hotel and brought to the departure point. Then, go on your tour inside a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus.
A professional guide will be with you on tour. You will be driven approximately one hour to Phnom Kulen National Park. Guests can bring a packed lunch or eat at the basic food stalls near the park.
First, we drive to the foot of the Kulen mountain, the birthplace of the great Khmer Empire in AD 802. Enjoy the breathtaking drive up the hill, exploring the abundant greenery and the Kulen Waterfall. Then, take a dip or sit back and watch the local families in their sacred homeland.
Please make your way up the mountain by walking to the Thousand Lingas, a gorgeous river with sophisticated Shiva Linga carvings covering its floor. Get a blessing in the traditional Cambodian custom with holy water from this sacred river. Then, continue up to the tip of the mountain to discover the beautiful pagoda and its world-famous Reclining Buddha at rest.
This tour ends with a final drop-off at your hotel.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes — 10-20min walk on a small trail.
