    We invite you today to embark together on a magical journey towards Damas Island, where biodiversity is intertwined with landscapes impressive. Let's discover the unique wildlife today, from penguins to bird colonies, in this natural refuge.

    Today we will begin our day early in the morning, leaving at approximately 07.00 am from our hotel in La Serena to begin this adventure, we will go towards the north entering the region of Coquimbo, until we reach the picturesque town of Punta de Choros, which It will be our starting point for this marine adventure.

    At 9:00 a.m. approximately we will embark on this exciting journey to Isla Choros. We will begin the navigation until reach the home of the largest concentration of Penguins of Humboldt in the National Reserve. We will also closely observe cormorants, pelicans, boobies, sea lions, chungungos and sea otters. We promise you this is an experience unique for lovers of marine and natural life.

    At 11:30 a.m. approximately nature will surprise us with possible sightings of bottlenose dolphins, a species unique in the South Pacific. Also from November to mid-May approximately, we could also have the whale watching fortune, further enriching our experience navy.

    Approximately around 1:00 p.m. we headed to Damas Island, skirting it from the boat to admire its beauty from the sea On the permitted days we could make landings to explore its trails, rest in the sand and capture unforgettable moments with our cameras. Swimming will not be allowed.

    Now back from Return to the mainland at approximately 3:30 p.m., we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant of the area. Local gastronomy offers us authentic flavors to complement our day. Finally, we will visit a production plant of olive oil to know the process in detail.

    With full hearts of amazement and vivid memories, we conclude our day in Punta de Choros. Every moment shared with wildlife and Nature will become part of our unforgettable expedition. We will begin our return to La Serena at 5:30 p.m. hours approximately.

        Essential Information

        - Minimum of 6 passengers for operation. If the minimum is not met, prior notice can be canceled.
        - Subject to navigation, wind and sea conditions. It is not recommended to take it on the last day.
        - The pick up time is reconfirmed 24 hours before the tour.
        - In case of cancellation due to weather, money will be refunded.
        - If you have any dietary restrictions, inform in advance.
        - On Isla Choros you cannot disembark, it is only observation of marine birdlife where the largest population of Humboldt Penguins and all the fauna of the reserve live.
        - For the winter months of May, June, July and mid-August, the fauna enters the nesting and migration period of the birdlife, which means that the fauna is seen in smaller numbers.
        - Furthermore, after the bird flu that affected me at the beginning of 2023, there is less fauna in the area.

        - On Isla Damas there is disembarkation.

            Let's embark together on a magical journey to Damas Island, where biodiversity is intertwined with impressive landscapes. Let's find out today unique wildlife, from penguins to bird colonies, in this natural refuge. A day dedicated only to Enjoy the fauna and serenity of nature.

            The Adventure starts traveling together towards the north, until reaching the populated by Punta de Choros, Coquimbo region. We start a tour navigation to Choros Island, where the largest number of Humboldt Penguins of the entire reserve are concentrated National.

            Also on Choros Island We will have the opportunity to see different types of cormorants, pelicans, boobies, sea lions, chungungos or otters marine, and most importantly, the largest population of Humboldt Penguins.

            In this area there are possible dolphin sightings bottle nose, unique in the South Pacific, and if we have a little luckily we will also be able to spot whales from November to mid-May approximately.

            Then navigation will take us to Isla Damas. There is some days without disembarkation, these days we skirt and we will know from the boat this wonderful island. And for the days when there is disembarkation we can walk along its paths, rest in the sand and drink Photographs. Back on the continent we will have lunch in a typical restaurant of the area.
