Detailed Description
The adventure begins at El Huerto Shelter, where you will meet your guide and your faithful equine companion. Remember that the activity has flexible hours, you can choose the ride time from 9 AM to 4 PM.
At the Shelter you will receive the horse that will accompany you on the tour, depending on your experience, the appropriate horse will be assigned. The guide will give you some basic safety and horse communication instructions, and you`ll be ready to explore the trail.
We will head towards the Salitre trail, exploring picturesque dirt roads that wind through Barichara`s rural landscape. One of the highlights of the Salitre trail is its connection with nature. There, you will be able to marvel at the diversity of flora and fauna that inhabits this region, from leafy trees to colorful birds and small animals that timidly peek out from the vegetation.
As we advance, we ascend to the Loma de la Laguna, a strategic point that will give us an incomparable panoramic view of Barichara and the imposing Yariguíes mountain range, part of the majestic eastern mountain range of Colombia. This is the perfect moment to capture spectacular photographs and delight in the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Continuing our journey, we enter in the heart of the Colombian landscape, as we approach a privileged view of the Chicamocha Canyon. Here, the immensity and grandeur of the canyon will leave us breathless, offering us a unique perspective of one of Colombia`s most impressive natural treasures. After an hour full of emotions and discoveries, we will return to the Pesebrera, taking with us unforgettable memories of this ride through the most captivating landscapes of Barichara.
