Detailed Description
Our tour begins with the departure from the selected hotels to start visiting some of the most important points in the history of the city of Salvador, its first streets, squares and churches.
We start with the Farol da Barra to reach the Upper City through the Corredor de la Victoria, Campo Grande and Piedade. It is the modern part of the city, so there are large buildings and shopping malls, streets and avenues are very busy, and is considered the economic center of Salvador.
Our walking tour will start at the Municipal Square, where the Rio Branco Palace and the City Hall are located, in front of the Lacerda Elevator, where we can overlook one of the most beautiful views of Todos os Santos Bay. In the elevator belvedere, we will appreciate the Upper City, the Lower City and the diversity of angles offered by the variety of buildings that the streets and houses of Pelô offer.
We continue towards Terreiro de Jesus, where the Basilica Cathedral of Salvador is located and we will visit the Church of São Francisco, one of the richest in Brazil and considered the most beautiful example of Portuguese Baroque in the world. We will finish our tour in Largo do Pelourinho, a place that mixes colors, races, culture and history. Recognized as world heritage by UNESCO and immortalized by the famous writer Jorge Amado
