Ferry & Bike Hire
Rottnest is a bike friendly island! Rottnest Express customers can hire adult and child bikes, purpose built for the easy-going island terrain. Helmets are included; baby seats, child trailers and cargo trailers are also available for hire.
With sunny days, easy-going terrain and many miles of roads and trails to explore, Rottnest is a bike-riders’ paradise. Pre-book your bike with your ferry ticket: it will travel with you and be waiting for you on the jetty when you arrive. Rottnest Express offers bikes for kids and adults, with helmets included.
A limited number of baby seats, child trailers (can hold up to 45kgs) and cargo trailers are also available for hire.
Children can travel in bike trailers and in baby seats from 12 months of age, if they are able to support their heads unaided.Child trailers can carry two children up to 4 years of age, maximum of 45kg total.Baby seats can carry one child, maximum of 22kg total.Height restrictions apply. Children with an upper body (torso) height exceeding 595mm are not able to use trailer.

**Snorkel hire
With warm Indian Ocean currents, coral reefs, colourful fish and even a shipwreck or two, the waters around Rottnest offer some of the best snorkelling in Australia.
Swimming here is free and easy, but to really experience Rottnest’s dazzling underwater realm, strap on a snorkel and some fins and peer into the deep blue sea. The waters here are teeming with more than 135 species of vibrant tropical fish and 20 species of coral.
‘Large’ snorkelling hire includes size 7–15 flippers, snorkel and a mask with an adjustable strap.
