Itinerary
Today "Adventure Entre Lagos: From Puerto Octay, Lago Rupanco to Puyehue" and let the magic of the Los Lagos Region captivate you. The adventure begins from the charming city of Puerto Varas, traveling along the picturesque Carretera Austral with impressive views of the Pacific Ocean. Our first stop will be Puerto Octay, a historic jewel with German architecture and charming streets.
We will start our excursion from the city of Puerto Varas along the Panamericana Route. We will head north for 20 km to reach Frutillar. From there, we will continue our path to Puerto Octay, a location on the northern riverbank of Lake Llanquihue, marked by German influence and known for being the first outlet for agricultural products in Osorno. In Puerto Octay, we will visit its ancient streets and charming plaza, enjoying its rich history and architecture.
Our route will continue for 54 km through rural landscapes. We will pass by Hacienda Rupanco, where agricultural and livestock activities will offer us a vision of the wealth and fertility of these lands. We can observe green fields and pastures, and enjoy the tranquility of the rural surroundings.
During the journey, we will arrive at Lake Rupanco. This beautiful lake will allow us to capture impressive photographs with the mountain range and the background volcanoes, creating a perfect postcard.
