            Detailed Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate (selected hotels only) at 6:30 AM, crossing the Patagonian steppe from north to south for approximately two and a half hours to arrive at the Cancha Carrera border crossing.

From here, we will begin our journey through the beautiful south of Chile until we enter the Torres del Paine National Park ("Azules" in the Tehuelche language, in reference to the color we will see the most in this place). Once here, we will begin our activities which includes hiking and 4x4 vehicle tours.

Leaving from the border of Cerro Castillo we will drive along the Toro Lake road until we reach the Serrano River. During the trip we will get panoramic views of the Paine Grande and Almirante Nieto mountains. Here we will make a stop and observe Lake Grey in the distance.

Around 11:30 am we will arrive at the Rio Serrano gate where the park rangers will check the entrance tickets. We will continue to the Phoe campsite where we will have time to have lunch and contemplate the beautiful panoramic view of the Cuernos del Paine.

Around 1:00 p.m., we will arrive at Puerto Pudeto, the starting point of the trail that leads to Salto Grande. This hike is about 40 minutes and, if the weather is favorable, we will continue with a longer hike (about 50 minutes more) to Nordenskjold Lake to appreciate the Cuernos del Paine up close.

Then we will drive to the upper viewpoint of Lake Nordenskjold, passing by Laguna de los Cisnes until we reach Laguna Amarga. From here we will get our panoramic view of the Torres del Paine.

After visiting these beautiful places, we will continue to Cerro Castillo to start our way back around 17 Hrs, to arrive approximately at 21hs to our selected hotels in El Calafate.
