Detailed Description
Discover the untouched beauty of Tuscany! From medieval towns, to rolling hills, and fine wines… An unforgettable day awaits!
If the ALL INCLUSIVE SIENA TOUR option is selected at the time of purchase, the package will include a guided group tour of Siena. Alternatively, by choosing the basic option, it will be possible to have the entire morning on one's own, to freely explore the beauties of Siena.
Your bus leaves in the morning from Florence for the Chianti region . Then, heading south and crossing the lush green hills of the Chianti region, we will arrive at Monteriggioni, a real gem set in the Tuscan hills, a small medieval town characterised by its still intact walls and charming piazza, where you will have free time to breathe in the atmosphere of ancient times.
After leaving this characteristic village, our excursion continues to Siena, the medieval city characterised by the marvellous Piazza del Campo, famous for its Palio and the examples of Gothic civil architecture that reside there. Here stands the imposing Palazzo Pubblico with its Torre del Mangia. The guided walk continues in the direction of the Duomo, one of Italy's most famous Gothic churches. Once the guided tour is over (for those who have purchased the complete tour), you will have free time to explore the historic centre of Siena at your leisure.
After that it is time to head to the wonderful CHIANTI region with its lush postcard-perfect landscapes. You will enjoy the best Chianti wine in a picturesque wine cellar, accompanied by mouth-watering homemade snacks and a rich wine and oil tasting.
Finally, it's time for our last stop: San Gimignano, a picturesque and evocative medieval town (declared a UNESCO ‘World Heritage Site’), famous for its white wine, the famous Vernaccia, and for its ‘skyscrapers’, the striking, still intact towers that characterise the small village. You will have time to lose yourself in the narrow alleys of the historical centre and to admire the breathtaking landscape surrounding San Gimignano.
This tour will offer you a complete immersion in the spectacular Chianti hills, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
