Due to Aviation Weight Restrictions a client’s body and luggage weight must be advised prior to the reservation being confirmed. Should a client advise a weight variance of more than 10%, the right is reserved to charge a 100% cancellation fee.110kg Maximum Weight per passenger. If passenger exceeds weight limit, please enquire of rates as two seats may be required and a surcharge will apply.

- Flights are subject to Management and/or pilot discretion, weather, air-traffic control and availability.
- The decision of the pilot in command is final with regards to cancelling a flight due to inclement weather and/or the refusal of the passenger/s if the passenger/s are deemed unfit for flight.
- Nautilus strives to ensure your flight takes off as planned. However, unexpected circumstances like bad weather, staffing issues, or unscheduled maintenance may arise. In these instances, we will: Do our best to rebook you on another flight: If possible, we’ll happily reschedule your trip for a different date that works for you. Flight rebooking is subject to availability. Offer a full refund: If rebooking isn’t an option, you’ll receive a full refund for your cancelled flight. Please note the refund will be no greater than the flight amount.

Flight cancellations and or amendments require a minimum notification of 48 hours prior to departure.
Cancellation notice of 48hours is required for a full refund claim and 24-48 hours, for a 50% refund claim.
Any flight amendments made inside 48 hours with incur a 50% penalty. No amendments accepted inside 24 hours prior to departure.
No refund applies if booking is cancelled inside 24 hours.
In the event of passenger illness, with medical certificate, Nautilus Aviation will reschedule the flight.
When payment is made via credit card, the processing fee from the original transaction will not be returned in the case of a refund.
* Flight Cancellation By ‘Other’
Nautilus Aviation accepts no responsibility for any expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any domestic/international flight delay, reschedules, alterations, poor weather or unscheduled maintenance.
Where possible, Nautilus Aviation will attempt to delay the departure of flights providing it does not affect other passengers, products and connecting flights.
Where a flight cannot be held resulting in a private charter being required, the flight is subject to availability and will incur an additional cost.
It is recommended that all passengers take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
Restrictions
One (1) infant under their 3rd birthday may travel free of charge if seated on a guardian’s lap. A maximum of one infant per helicopter may travel as per CASA regulations. Children 3 years and above pay full fare.
Detailed Description
This tour combines the beauty of a scenic flight from Cairns to Green Island, where a generous amount of free time is provided, up to 2 hours free time on Green Island! This 6000 year old sand cay is home to a multitude of marine life and coral gardens as well as hosting the luxurious Green Island Resort. Swim from powder white sandy beaches in the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef or take a guided rainforest walk with our island naturalist.
Your day starts with a check-in with Great Addventures at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns. Board a large, stable and spacious air-conditioned catamaran to travel to Grren Island (approximately 45 minute transfer time). Once arrived on Green Island you will enjoy 2 hours free time to explore the coral cay's rainforest boardwalks, white sandy beaches and other attractions. You might even choose to visit Marineland Melanesia (entry at own expense) which offers a snapshot of Green Island's history, aquariums and crocodile farm. Depart Green Island Jetty via luxury, high speed catamaran (approximately 45 minutes cruising time) for Great Adventures Outer Barrier Reef located luxury, 3 level, state of the art pontoon, at Norman Reef. Once on board the pontoon your Great Barrier Reef adventures begins!
All Snorkelling equipment and instruction are provided, as are buoyancy vests to make life easy if you are not a confident swimmer.
For those who don't wish to get wet there is the opportunity to enjoy a semi-submersible submarine tour which will show you the coral reef and its many brilliant coloured fishes and a staggeringly diverse amount of marine life in absolute comfort. These tours come with full commentary and are available for snorkellers to enjoy also!
The pontoon houses an underwater observatory which provides large viewing windows looking out at a wondrous panorama of the Great Barrier Reef. The pontoon is stable in all weather conditions, very spacious and comfortable with features including showers, change-rooms, full sundeck with sun-lounge, children’s swimming enclosure, bar and buffet area with shaded tables and chairs for dining.
Speaking of food! Lunch is a lavish affair, with a selection of hot and cold dishes from the buffet including prawns, fresh garden salads and tropical fruit platters with freshly baked bread rolls. Tea and coffee are also included at the end of the meal.
After enjoying a day of Island and Outer Barrier Reef activities it's time for prepare for your 25 minute stunning low level reef scenic flight to carry you back from the Outer Barrier Reef into Cairns! Flying over palettes and patterns that only nature could create, the Great Barrier Reef and it's Island's shimmer in a jewelled sea, a flight of wonder!
Arrive back into Cairns prior to being transferred by courtesy coach to Cairns City or Cairns Northern Beaches accommodation.
