Detailed Description
[⚠️ Suspicious Content] Escape the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, riding through sleepy suburbs and into the beautiful countryside on the back of our comfortable Vespas.
We leave the city behind to experience the beauty and culture of the Thai countryside. As we ride out on the Vespas, the landscape changes from bustling city streets to quieter suburban roads and then stunning countryside lanes. We’ll stop to visit a flower farm, learning about this important sector of Page 27 of 29 the agriculture business in northern Thailand. And then we’ll hop off the Vespas in a neighbourhood to sample local snacks and visit the community vegetable garden. A sharp turn to the west takes us to the base of Chiang Mai’s mountains and we’ll get a taste of the highlands as we ride shady roads past rice paddies, banana trees and lush gardens. Take a break to enjoy a cup of locally grown coffee then continue to a fascinating project where you’ll see paper products being made from elephant dung. Looping back to town on a different road, we’ll pop into a vocational training centre breeding crickets, growing hydroponic vegetables and other fascinating projects. Then we wrap up our time in the countryside with a traditional northern-Thai lunch before driving back to your Chiang Mai hotel.
