The tour will begin at 10:30 AM at the Plaza Distrital de Mercado La Concordia, located in the heart of Bogotá’s Historic Center, where our bilingual coordinator will welcome you and provide tips to make the most of your experience. You will explore Plaza de Mercado La Concordia, discovering its traditional market stalls, aromas, and vibrant colors, while enjoying a tasting of fresh seasonal fruits, connecting with the authentic flavors of Bogotá. Upon leaving the plaza, you will have the opportunity to admire stunning panoramic views of the city, a perfect moment for photos and to appreciate the historical layout of Bogotá’s old town.
The walk will continue to the Chorro de Quevedo, considered the founding site of Bogotá. Here, you will enjoy a tasting of Colombian artisanal coffee and coca tea, while learning about the history of indigenous cultures that inhabited the area and the early days of colonial Bogotá.
Next, you will move on to Plaza de Bolívar, the political and historical heart of Colombia, surrounded by iconic landmarks such as the National Capitol, the Primatial Cathedral, and the Palace of Justice, while the guide shares stories and historical insights about Bogotá and its urban evolution.
Then, the tour will visit Plaza Santander, a space that blends tradition and modernity, ideal for observing local life in the Historic Center and feeling the city’s vibrant pulse.
