Learn to prepare the most delicious dishes of Brazilian cuisine in a class in Salvador
Itinerary
First we meet at our meeting point: Rua Florianopolis 134, Barra Salvador . Upon welcoming us, the hosts will begin the step-by-step guide through the culinary adventure.
The cooking class begins with the preparation of traditional appetizers: tapioca with cheese, cassava with butter, and yucca fritters. As an accompaniment, we serve pepper jam, which adds an authentic and flavorful touch. While we enjoy this starter, we are shown how to make caipirinhas .
For the main course, there are three menu options:
Option 1: Moqueca Bahiana
This seafood stew is typical of northeastern Brazil. It includes coconut milk, peppers, and spices. You`ll learn how to prepare it and serve it with toasted farofa, plantains, and white rice—two classic side dishes. The goal is for you to be able to replicate this recipe at home with readily available ingredients.
The session ends with the preparation of brigadeiro, a Brazilian chocolate sweet that is the perfect ending to any meal.
Option 2: Vegetarian Menu
If you prefer meat-free options, the vegetarian menu experience is just as enticing. You`ll use fresh ingredients and local techniques to create adapted versions of traditional Brazilian dishes. All accompanied by appetizers, caipirinhas, and brigadeiro.
The class ends with a potluck lunch, where you`ll enjoy the dishes prepared in a relaxed atmosphere. You`ll also take home printed copies of the recipes to try at home
