Information
Please note: All guests need to wear appropriate clothing around the temples. You will need to have your shoulders and knees covered. Cambodia is also a very hot and humid country, so please wear some light cotton clothing. The winter months (Nov – Feb) are a bit cooler, but it can still get very hot in the afternoons
Detailed Description
Visit Banteay Srei in the morning light, where you can see how the sun illuminates the red stone of the temple. This is the best time to experience and take pictures of this distinctive and breathtaking temple. Its picturesque moat and waterlilies add to the beautiful scenery. Next, continue to the Landmine Museum. This remarkable project was established by Mr. Aki Ra, who is known to have served as a child soldier during the Khmer Rouge regime. Having seen the tragic effects of landmines first-hand, he has since dedicated his life to de-mining the country and helping those affected. The museum has incredible, thought-provoking displays about Cambodia's tragic wartime history and the damage caused by landmines. It also has a positive side, with many landmine victims who have had successful jobs and everyday lives. In the afternoon, you'll return to Siem Reap after a memorable day of exploration.
