Detailed Description
Get ready to go on a low-carbon trip to Ayutthaya and see some of its most famous historical sights in the countryside.
You will board the train to Ayutthaya at Hualamphong train station at 08:00 am and enjoy the changing scenery as the train leaves the big city. Then, you will arrive in Ayutthaya at about 09:40 am and set off with the local rocket-nosed tuk-tuk to the first stop, Wat Yai Chai Mongkul, the temple with the most magnificent stupa in Ayutthaya. After that, it is just a short ride to the bike station to check that your bicycle is ready for you to set off on your bike tour to see the great historical sites.
The tour will include the famous Buddha head in the root of a banyan tree at Wat Mahatat and the peaceful reclining Buddha at Wat Logayasutharam. After, you will have your lunch at a local restaurant and cycle back to the bike station before experiencing life on the waterways as you take a boat trip around Ayutthaya City. On that island, brace yourself to learn about the different cultures that live in peace together as you pass by the many Catholic churches, mosques, and Buddhist temples. You’ll even stop to see Wat Chai Wattanaram, the most beautiful of all the temples left from the 17th century. Then, after all the festivities, you’ll get off the boat by the train station pier and get ready for your train journey back to Bangkok, arriving at Hualamphong safe and sound at around 18:00 pm
