Detailed Description
The Antarctic Adventure begins with a transfer from your hotel in Ushuaia to the Tierra Mayor Valley. During the journey, your guide will provide introductory information and safety guidelines. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed at a polar-themed operations base, where you'll receive the necessary equipment, including thermal suits and snowmobiles.
The adventure continues with an interactive exhibit on great polar explorers in a dome, narrating the feats of pioneers like Shackleton and Amundsen. Afterward, you'll be instructed on how to use snowmobiles for a 6-kilometer ride through landscapes that simulate Antarctic plains. Next, you'll board an authentic tracked vehicle—similar to those used in scientific bases—to explore remote areas on a 4-kilometer journey.
The tracked vehicle ride culminates at the Antarctic Minibase, a faithful replica of a scientific station. Here, you'll participate in simulated scientific activities and learn about climate change. To finish, enjoy a themed snack with hot drinks and energy foods, all in a cozy atmosphere. The experience concludes with the return to your hotel in Ushuaia, ending a day full of adventure, education, and nature
