If you are a lover of adventure this is for you. This is an invitation to explore the most impressive and rustic landscapes of the island.
Today we will leave Leaving from the hotel at the time that we reconfirm, it can be 09:30 a.m. or at 2:30 p.m., it will depend on availability, although without a doubt the schedule does not affect at all with the experience that we will live.
Prior to walk, we will have a safety talk, where all the security measures for our passengers, making helmets available and leggings to prepare for the adventure of this beautiful tour.
Each excursion will be accompanied by a horseman or muleteer who will lead the group along the way. You can choose between these 2 routes:
- Caverns. Not suitable for the claustrophobic.
In the path of the caves, we will visit Ana Kakenga and Ana Te Pahu, two unique sites in their category, where you will see volcanic tubes that have formed kilometers of caverns underground. Ana Kakenga has the peculiarity of being an underground cave with two tubes overlooking a cliff facing the sea. Ana Te Pahu is a larger cavern inside the Roiho sector, which also served as a refuge for the Rapa Nui during the time of slavery. In them you can see vestiges of old kitchens, crops, and petroglyphs. This horseback ride ends at Ahu Akivi, a platform with seven moai restored important for astronomical navigation and with the particularity of being the only moai that look towards the coast.
- Climbing Maunga Terevaka Volcano (3 hours)
Rise to the top more high of Rapa Nui, the Maunga Terevaka, in an entertaining walk to horse. Enjoy the views, nature and contact with these noble animals that will make you feel a unique experience. After two hours of ascent, the summits of Rano Aroi and Maunga Terevaka (over 500 meters high) allow a panoramic view of the entire Island Easter with the Pacific Ocean around it. Horseback riding for the whole family, without the need for previous experience, who will take you to know the highest point of Rapa Nui, Maunga Terevaka, with its fantastic panoramic view of the navel of the world.
