Detailed Description
This afternoon tour will start at 1:00 p.m. First, we will go to the original bamboo train to take a ride. On the train ride, you can see some small villages and even the countryside. After that, we will be passing by a small town and countryside road as we head to a bat cave. On the way, a guide will tell you about these small villages' local lifestyle. A lot of children will be greeting you as we pass by! Along the way, we will also see some local Buddhist temples.
After you learn about the local lifestyle and see some small villages and countryside roads, we will continue our journey to Phnom Sampov. Here, you have a few options to choose from. Depending on what is more comfortable for you, you can either walk up the mountain or take a motorbike or pickup truck up the hill to the top. Next, you can see the "killing cave" on this mountain, where thousands of people were killed during the Pol Pot regime. Some skulls and bones can still be found there, and a giant cannon, guns, monastery, and stupa. The scenery from the top of the hill is breathtaking. Finally, after you come down from the mountain, we will rest for five to ten minutes while waiting for the bats to fly out from their cave. There will be millions of them coming out all at once! After watching the bats fly out, we will end the day by returning to the hotel.
