Itinerary
We will pick you up from the hotel located in the city of Arequipa, and our transportation will take the route to Cabrerías, until we reach the starting point of this amazing adventure, located at 4,100 m.a.s.l.
Get impressed with amazing landscapes that this place offers to us, surrounded by incredible mountains and volcanoes. The tour starts climbing towards the Volcano Misti, with a trekking of circa 6 hours. Along the way, we are going to admire local fauna and flora, like cactus and different kind of birds. Also, we will enjoy a box lunch.
The Volcano Misti is located 20 km northeast of the city of Arequipa, and rises to 5,820 m.a.s.l. The volcano name comes from Quechua and means “White Man”.
Arriving to the camp base, located at 4,800 m.a.s.l., we are going to set the camp up and enjoy a lovely dinner.
Very early in the morning, and after breakfast, we are going to continue climbing the volcano, in a 6-hour trekking circa. We will reach the top of the mountain before noon.
You will have the opportunity to admire the spectacular views of the Andes Mountain, and volcanoes like Chachani and Pichu Pichu, with time enough to take photos.
Later, we will start the descend until reach the Camp Base. After a well deserve rest, the trekking continues for 2 more hours until reach our transportation, which will take us back to the city of Arequipa
